What's in the candy store?

Weekly Standard looks at the tools of persuasion - threats or bribes - Nancy Pelosi has on hand for the health care vote.
I wonder how persuasive they can be in this climate. Is the candy store more like getting a used LifeSaver with lint on it from the bottom of a pocket?
Can they offer power? For eight months until Republicans take over in November.
Can they offer money for districts? You bring home some bacon and ignite the tea party's anger. ("Sure you feel you were screwed, but look what I got for our area?")
It's a new day. The usual inducements won't work as well. Because everybody is watching. And angry people are making plans for November.
