Facebook quote of the week
Realized I was reading Bon Appetit’s November issue, with its high-end recipes and gorgeous Thanksgiving photos while snacking on Crunchy Cheetos. No regrets, just a strange dichotomy.

It's been a while for this feature, but today one popped up that I had to share.
I forgot that Saturday afternoon at Costco is like Thunderdome. Also, why are there angry people buying 5 lbs of spinach. Is Popeye coming to dinner? I need to go home and sit quietly with the cat.

My birthday present to me (part one). This is a mattock, for digging in dirt. (Yes, I confess, I went to www.dictionary.com to ascertain the proper spelling.) The one that I'd used for years fell apart a few months ago. I am planning to have some fun with this one.
P.S.: When my children were little, I'd talk about using the mattock in the yard. They thought I was saying I was going to use "the mad axe."

I have a new habit! I am drinking water with a little coffee creamer. I would not recommend it.
That’s what you get when you continually forget to put the k-cup in the Keurig.

The other day I saw a US house rep say that the Senate has over 500 pieces of legislation that they haven't taken up. Why are they being paid?

That moment when your daughter says "and that's what you're going to wear?" Lol. Umm, it's Mothers day. Sweat pants and a nap sounds heavenly.

As an HGTV addict (Weekend mornings w/coffee only) I just would like to FOR ONCE hear someone say NO to open concept! Give me a separate square kitchen with a table in the middle and the little swinging door! I want the Happy Day’s kitchen. Or the Dick Van Dyke Show kitchen!
There. I feel better.
