How to get banks to lend money
Would banks lend more money if - a. Congress encouraged them to lend b. Barney Frank and friends were sent to a deserted island in the South Pacific. We would pick them up if we (ever) needed them.
All of the banks who accepted government funding (most received more money than the bank was worth) should be nationalized so that they will have to work in the public (their new owners) interests.
