Winter Classic coming
It's almost time for the NHL's outdoor game, Jan. 1 at Fenway Park in Boston. They are beginning to put the rink together. I hope it's cold enough for good ice, considering the global warming some people are talking about.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE watching the Winter Classic! The first one was fabulous! Beautiful snow! Last year - I was kinda bored with it - the game wasn't as good, to me. I'm really looking forward to this year!
I re-read parts of Jack Falla's "Home Ice" every year before the game. Great book!
I really like watching the Winter Classic because it's different than other hockey games. I hope the annual tradition continues and that more cities will host outdoor games.
