Sometimes, you pay for things you don't use

Since we moved to Fishersville, our kids have attended Wilson Elementary School. The oldest went there five years, and the youngest is in the fifth of his six years there.
Next summer, we'll be headed to Wilson Middle.
So the nice new school renovation for fall 2013 will be used by our neighbors, friends and children much younger than ours.
Our tax money doesn't always go to things we use or would select. But they go for the good of the community.
We've got to sacrifice. Not just taxpayers, but government workers also.
We must look to the future, not just the present. Or latch on too tightly to what we received in the past.
