From my former newspaper in South Carolina, a column saluting what binds us together - duct tape.
For nerdy users – repair those broken glasses frames. For those who happen to catch a burglar – duct tape makes excellent handcuffs.
Duct tape is such a key part of holding our society together that a roll is required on every NASA space flight.
So, Miss Williams, my Home Economics teacher of decades ago - even though you are in that great classroom in the sky now, please know your worst student managed to keep it together. With a little luck and a roll of tape.
