The New Orleans Saints were supposed to start training camp Wednesday.
Instead, they helped fix up a park in White Sulphur Springs ravished by flooding last month.
"Normally we have a conditioning test today and we made a decision as a team, we felt it would be a better idea to kind of go and help do some rebuilding, just help out one of many areas that got hit hard with the terrible floods back in June," New Orleans Saints' 10th year head coach Sean Payton said. "I think all of us, the coaches, the players, there was five bus loads of people all did a great job."
Their first win of the season.
