My church this morning used the passage from Matthew about Peter being the rock upon which the church would be built.
Catholics consider Peter to be the first pope, starting a line that continues to today.
What kind of rock is Pope Francis?
Seems more like a kidney stone.
Much smaller in stature than Peter.
Not a building block for something good, but an irritant.
Causing great, instance pain.
Hopefully, this too shall pass.
