Augusta County voters today get to decide whether the courthouse should remain at the same site as it has since before the Revolutionary War.
In a building built in 1901.
In the middle of congested streets of downtown Staunton, instead of easily accessed in Verona.
It will cost too much, say the foes.
Staunton will help with improvements.
But that's been the state of play for years.
The building looks pretty on the outside, then you see the window unit air conditioner.
And the front doors are blocked.
You can pay now, or pay later.
