Fourteen of the 17 Republican candidates made a stop Monday in New Hampshire.
Powerline was impressed.
Trying to be as objective as I can, it seems to me that Ted Cruz sounded the best (not surprisingly, given his speaking and debating skill). After hearing him blast “the Washington cartel,” it’s more of a mystery to me than ever why GOP “populists” prefer a blowhard billionaire (and, until recently, a center-left Democrat) to Cruz.
For those who like their candidates a bit less slick and polished, I thought that Chris Christie stood out. One feels that, for better or for worse, what you see is what you get with the New Jersey governor.
