With the anniversary of the "Unite the Right" rally in Charlottesville looming, former governor Terry McAuliffe has a book out with his thoughts on the incident.
Blame Charlottesville government ranks high on the list.
In the six months leading up to the rally there were warnings of the potential for disorder, if not violence. They were not heeded with any sense of urgency or judgement at the highest levels of state government.
There's lots of hindsight, but not much foresight, about the events of two years ago.
