Weekend watchdog

Virginia finished the regular season ranked number one.
The Cavaliers hope to open the NCAA tournament in the top spot also when the field of 68 gets revealed Sunday at 6 p.m. on TBS.
After winning its first game at the ACC tournament Thursday, Virginia faces Clemson Friday at 7 p.m. in the first semifinal. Duke takes on --- at 9:30 p.m.
The championship will be Saturday at 8:30 p.m. on ACC network and ESPN.
The SEC tournament has a pair of quarterfinals on ESPN2 Friday at 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. There's a pair of quarterfinals from the American Conference on ESPN2 Friday at noon and 2:30 p.m., with the semifinals from the Big 12 at 7 and 9:30 p.m.
FoxSports1 has the Big East semifinals Friday at 6:30 p.m. and 9 p.m., and the second semifinal from the Pac-12 at 11:30 p.m.
CBS has the semifinals in the American Conference Saturday at 1 and 3:30 p.m. The Mountain West crowns its champion Saturday at 6 p.m.
The Big East crowns its champion on Fox Saturday at 6:30 p.m., and FoxSports1 carries the Pac-12 title game at 10 p.m.
The SEC semifinals are Saturday at 1 and 3:30 p.m. on ESPN, with the Big 12 finale at 6 p.m.
ESPN2 starts its day at 11 a.m. Saturday with the America East final between UMBC and Vermont. It's the MEAC final at 1 p.m., followed by a semifinal from the Ivy League at 3 p.m. The SWAC bid will be on the line at 5 p.m., then it's the MAC and Southland Conferences. The Big West closes the slate at midnight.
The Atlantic 10 holds its title game on CBS Sunday at 1 p.m., followed by the American Conference at 3:30 p.m.
The SEC finale will be Sunday at 1 p.m. on ESPN, while ESPN2 shows the Ivy League at noon and Sun Belt final at 2 p.m.
The Wizards visit the Pelicans Friday at 8 p.m. and the Heat Saturday at 7:30 p.m. on NBC Sports Washington.
ABC brings Spurs-Thunder Saturday at 8:30 p.m. with Warriors-Timberwolves Sunday at 3:30 p.m.
The Cavaliers tangle with the Lakers Sunday at 9 p.m. on ESPN.
NBC has the Valspar Championship Saturday and Sunday at 3 p.m.
NASCAR heads to Phoenix for the weekend, with the Monster Series going Sunday at 3:30 p.m. on Fox. The Xfinity Series goes Saturday at 4 p.m. on Fox.
The Capitals meet the Sharks on NBC Sports Washington Saturday at 4 p.m.
NBC has the Bruins against the Blackhawks Sunday at 12:30 p.m. and it's Stars-Penguins on NBC Sports network Sunday at 7:30 p.m.
In exhibition baseball, the Nationals take on the Cardinals Sunday at 1 p.m. before the Orioles and Phillies meet at 6 p.m. on MASN.
D.C. United takes on Atlanta United on ESPN Sunday at 3 p.m.
Manchester United meets Liverpool in the Premier League Saturday at 7:25 a.m., followed by Newcastle United-Southampton and Chelsea's clash with Crystal Palace at 12:25 p.m.
Arsenal faces Watford Sunday at 9:25 a.m. then Bournemouth meets Tottenham Hotspur at 11:55 a.m.
In the Bundesliga, Bayern Munich battles Hamburg on FoxSports1 Saturday at 9:30 a.m. and it's Stuttgart-Leipzig Sunday at 9:30 a.m.
The 2018 Paralympics get going Friday at 6 a.m. with opening ceremonies on NBC Sports network. There's alpine skiing Friday at 11 p.m., with sled hockey Saturday at 10 p.m. and Sunday at 11:30 p.m.
There's college softball between LSU and Auburn Sunday at 5 p.m. on ESPN2.
