Weekend watchdog

The youth of the world close out their time in South America this weekend. 2020_1Off to Tokyo for a repeat visit in 2020.
Coverage continues until the Closing Ceremonies Sunday on NBC. Highlights of the last weekend include the men's basketball gold medal game Sunday at 2 p.m. on NBC and the women's championship Saturday at 2:30 p.m.
The men's marathon runs Sunday, and the athletes gather one more time Sunday night before extinguishing the Olympic flame.
The Orioles faces the Astros in a series on MASN2, while the Nationals take on the Braves on MASN.
The Giants host the Mets Saturday at 4 p.m. on FoxSports1 and Sunday at 8 p.m. on ESPN. The Yankees tangle with the Angels on FoxSports1 Friday at 10 p.m. and it's Red Sox-Tigers Sunday on TBS at 1:05 p.m.
The Little League World Series continues in Williamsport Friday at 2 p.m. as Japan battles Canada on ESPN. It's California taking on Iowa at 4 p.m. before South Korea meets Curacao. The first round of games concludes as Kentucky plays Texas at 8 p.m.
Play continues over the weekend, with games on ESPN Saturday at noon, 6 and 9 p.m. ABC has games Saturday and Sunday at 3 p.m., with other play on Sunday on ESPN at 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. while ESPN2 brings the nightcap at 7 p.m.
The Junior League championship will be Sunday at 1 p.m. on ESPN.
Comcast has the Redskins against the Jets Friday at 7:30 p.m. and the Ravens meet the Colts Saturday at 7 p.m.
NASCAR heads to Bristol for the weekend, with the Sprint Cup race on NBC Sports network Saturday at 7 p.m. USA brings the Xfinity Series Friday at 7:30 p.m.
Pocono hosts the Indy Car circuit Sunday at 3 p.m. on NBC Sports network.
The PGA tour visits North Carolina for the Wyndham Championships on CBS Saturday and Sunday at 3 p.m.
The United States Amateur will be on Fox Sunday at 3 p.m., after semifinals Saturday at 3 p.m. FoxSports1 brings early round play Thursday at 3 p.m. and quarterfinals Friday at 3 p.m.
ESPN2 has the Western and Southern Open this weekend, with round of 16 play Thursday at 1 and 7 p.m. The quarterfinals are Friday at 1 and 7 p.m., with semifinals Saturday at 1 and 7 p.m. The women's championship will be Sunday at 2 p.m., followed by the men's at 4 p.m.
In the MLS, New York City takes on the Galaxy Saturday at 3 p.m. on ESPN and D.C. United battles the Red Bulls Sunday at 3 p.m. Portland plays Seattle on FoxSports1 Sunday at 9:30 p.m.
