It's heartening to see conservatives rise to the defense of the Paul Ryan budget after the loss in NY26.
It's the only way to go. What's the other option?
Do you give up after the first bump in the road?
You could wait a few years until an entitlement program runs out of money and see what terrible things happen.
How will our politicians react?
Democrats have said "don't worry." The government won't default on its promises.
Really?
If politicians can't stand up to people protesting small benefit cuts, how will they stand against a mass of taxpayers seeing their paychecks cut? Taken in a massive way to keep those promises limping along.
It's going to be a tough few years. The Ryan plan must win for us to have a chance as a country.
Important battles take wise leadership, focusing on the situation and seeking the best way through.
Right now, the Ryan budget is the best way through to the future.
Representative Ryan will earn it.
