Weekend watchdog

LSU and Alabama meet Saturday, and could meet again - in the college playoffs.
CBS has coverage Saturday at 3:30 p.m. of the battle between the top two teams in the nation.
The winner has the inside shot for the SEC West title and berth in the SEC championship on Dec. 7. If the loser wins the rest of its contests, they would be among the top contenders for one of the four berths in the College Football Playoff semifinals on Dec. 28.
President Trump plans to join the attendees for Saturday's game.
The college football weekend continues Friday as Central Florida tangles with Tulsa at 7 p.m. on ESPN2 and Washington goes against Oregon State on FoxSports1 at 10:30 p.m.
Virginia hosts Georgia Tech Saturday at 12:30 p.m. on NBC Sports Washington.
Penn State travels to Minnesota on ABC at noon, followed by Arizona State-Southern Cal. In primetime, Clemson clashes with North Carolina State.
Maryland meets Ohio State on Fox at noon and there's a top 20 battle between Iowa and Wisconsin at 4 p.m. Iowa State takes on Oklahoma at 8 p.m.
ESPN starts its day at noon with Florida facing Vanderbilt. Texas tangles with Kansas State at 3:30 p.m. and Missouri meets Georgia at 7 p.m. In the nightcap, Wyoming travels to Boise State.
It's West Virginia-Texas Tech at noon on ESPN2 and Miami meets Louisville at 3:30 p.m. Appalachian State goes against South Carolina at 7 p.m. with Nevada-San Diego State at 10:30 p.m.
Baylor battles TCU on FoxSports1 at noon and Illinois goes against Michigan State at 3:30 p.m.
Florida State faces Boston College on the ACC network at noon and Virginia Tech hosts Wake Forest at 3:30 p.m. It's Notre Dame-Duke at 7:30 p.m.
MASN has James Madison's contest with New Hampshire at 3:30 p.m.
The Ravens visit the Bengals on CBS Sunday at 1 p.m. The Saints host the Falcons on Fox at 1 p.m., with areas of northern and eastern Virginia getting Jets-Giants. The Panthers visit the Packers in the late afternoon slot.
The Vikings tangle with the Cowboys on NBC Sunday night, with Seahawks-49ers on ESPN Monday at 8:15 p.m.
It's the CFL conference semifinals Sunday on ESPN2, with Edmonton against Montreal at 1 p.m. followed by Calgary-Winnipeg at 4:30 p.m.
NASCAR's playoff field of eight gets whittled down the final four at Phoenix Sunday at 2:30 p.m. on NBC. The Xfinity Series goes Saturday at 3:30 p.m. on NBC, with the Truck Series on FoxSports1 Friday at 8:30 p.m.
It's Capitals-Golden Knights on NBC Sports Washington Saturday at 7 p.m.
The Flyers visit the Bruins on NBC Sports Washington Sunday at 7 p.m.
On the college ice, Ohio State meets Notre Dame on NBC Sports network Friday at 8 p.m.
The Wizards host the Cavaliers on ESPN and NBC Sports Washington Friday at 7:15 p.m.
There's college basketball on ESPN Friday with Washington meeting Baylor at 9:30 p.m. in the Armed Forces Classic in Alaska. ESPN2 has Arizona State against Colorado from China at 10:30 p.m.
North Texas visits VCU Friday at 7 p.m. on MASN while Siena faces Xavier on MASN2 at 7 p.m.
Georgetown hosts Central Arkansas on MASN2 Saturday at noon and it's Stony Brook-Seton Hall at 2:30 p.m. New Jersey Tech tangles with Providence at 4:30 p.m. before New Orleans meets Butler at 7 p.m.
 NBC Sports network has Iona-LaSalle Saturday at 4 p.m.
Texas plays Purdue on FoxSports1 Saturday at 7 p.m. and Maryland meets Rhode Island at 9 p.m.
Florida State faces Florida on ESPN Sunday at 1 p.m.
Louisville hosts Youngstown State on NBC Sports Washington Sunday at 2 p.m., followed by Detroit Mercy-North Carolina State.
On the women's hardcourt, Maryland meets South Carolina at 3 p.m. Sunday on ESPN.
Seattle and Toronto battle for the MLS Cup Sunday at 3 p.m. on ABC.
The United States' mens team faces Costa Rica Sunday at 8 p.m. on ESPN2.
Chelsea clashes with Crystal Palace on NBC Sports network Saturday at 7:25 a.m., then Tottenham Hotspur meets Sheffield United. NBC has Arsenal against Leicester City at 12:30 p.m.
It's Manchester United taking on Brighton and Hove Albion Sunday at 8:55 a.m. on NBC Sports network and Liverpool-Manchester City at 11:25 a.m.
In the Bundesliga, Hertha Berlin faces Leipzig Saturday at 9:30 a.m. on FoxSports1. Leverhusen battles Wolfsburg Sunday at 9:30 a.m.
FoxSports1 has the finals of the Big 12 women's soccer tournament Sunday at 1:30 p.m. with the Big East finale at 4 p.m.
