Weekend watchdog

The New England Patriots cruised through the first half of the 2019 season - but things get tougher as they enter November.
The Patriots visit Baltimore for NBC Sunday Night football this week, with kickoff at 8:20 p.m.
Baltimore leads the AFC North with a 5-2 record going into the contest. The teams battled in a pair of AFC championship games earlier in the decade, with both teams advancing once to the big game.
The Patriots face NFC East leaders Philadelphia and Dallas later in the month. If they survive those contests, Houston and Kansas City await in early December.
NFL network has the Texans' contest with the Jaguars in London Sunday at 9:30 a.m. It's Cowboys-Giants on ESPN Monday night.
The Colts meet the Steelers Sunday at 1 p.m. on CBS and the Packers visit the Chargers in the late afternoon slot. The Redskins visit Buffalo on Fox at 1 p.m.
The college football weekend continues Friday as Navy visits Connecticut at 8 p.m. on ESPN2.
Virginia Tech travels to Notre Dame Saturday at 2:30 p.m. on NBC.
Florida faces Georgia in their traditional battle in Jacksonsville at 3:30 p.m. on CBS.
Maryland meets Michigan on ABC at noon, followed by Miami-Florida State at 3:30 p.m. In primetime, Memphis hosts SMU.
Nebraska tangles with Purdue on Fox at noon, then Utah visits Washington at 4 p.m. Southern Cal meets Oregon at 8 p.m.
ESPN starts its day at noon with North Carolina State's contest with Wake Forest. TCU takes on Oklahoma State at 3:30 p.m. and Auburn hosts Mississippi at 7 p.m.
Central Florida clashes with Houston at noon on ESPN2 and it's Tulane-Tulsa at 4 p.m. In the nightcap, BYU meets Utah State at 10 p.m.
State pride is on the line when Kansas State meets Kansas on FoxSports1 at 3:30 p.m. Indiana faces Northwestern at 7 p.m.
The ACC network has Boston College-Syracuse at noon and Clemson against Wofford at 4 p.m. Virginia and North Carolina battle for the division lead at 7:30 p.m.
Richmond hosts Stony Brook on NBC Sports Washington at 4 p.m.
England battles South Africa for the championship of the World Rugby Cup Saturday at 5 a.m. on NBC Sports network.
NASCAR visits Texas, with the Monster Series on NBC Sports network Sunday at 3 p.m. The Xfinity Series goes Saturday at 8:30 p.m.
The Timberwolves take on the Wizards Saturday at 8 p.m. on NBC Sports Washington.
The Nets host the Rockets on ESPN Friday at 7:15 p.m. and it's Lakers-Mavericks at 9:35 p.m.
NBC has the Breeders Cup Saturday at 8 p.m., after early races on NBC Sports network Friday at 4 p.m. and Saturday at 3:30 p.m.
The Capitals battle the Sabres on NBC Sports Washington Friday at 7 p.m. and face the Flames Sunday at 7 p.m.
Bournemouth tangles with Manchester United Saturday at 8:25 a.m. on NBC Sports network, followed by Manchester City-Southampton and Watford's contest with Chelsea.
Crystal Palace clashes with Leicester City Sunday at 8:55 a.m. and Everton faces Tottenham Hotspur at 11:25 a.m.
In the Bundesliga, Bayern Munich battles Eintracht Saturday at 10:30 a.m. on FoxSports1 and Union Berlin meets Hertha Berlin at 1:30 p.m. Dusseldorf faces Koln Sunday at 9:30 a.m.
ESPN2 has the New York City Marathon Sunday at 9 a.m.
In women's college volleyball, Michigan meets Illinois Friday at 8:30 p.m. on FoxSports1. It's Minnesota against Purdue on ESPN2 Sunday at 1 p.m.
