It's all the rage

Don Surber highlights stories of Americans who worked hard and provided for their families.
Which some confusingly call "white rage."

GameStop? Not yet

Don Surber offers his take on the GameStop stock runup.
Young Robinhood customers are learning a life less that while people can get rich quick, they are not one of them. You have to be part of the In crowd. Martha Stewart thought she was. She went to prison over a $45,000 trade. Conrad Black also went to prison for a bad stock deal. No one at that hedge fund will do time for losing $13 billion.

Xiden

Don Surber has found the perfect way to spell Joe Biden's name - Xiden.
A constant reminder of the Chinese influence on the new president.

Bloomberg's business case

Michael Bloomberg suspended his presidential bid Wednesday.
So many lessons to learn.
Let Don Surber teach.
Mini Mike made a big deal about self-financing his campaign.
President Donald John Trump initially made the same mistake. Then he realized, the guy giving you five bucks is going to vote for you come hell or high water. He got Hillary had the big donors. The Donald had the small donors. Who won? It takes a helluva salesman to get waitresses to donate to a billionaire.

Lululemon, I choose you

Don Surber writes about the stores in Elizabeth Warren zones - and I've never heard of Lululemon.
Sounds like a new Pokemon.
Except it's not ready to fight far from the coasts.

Field of losers

There's lots of Democrats running for the honor of losing to Donald Trump next November.
Democrats did this to themselves by going coastal. They produce senators who know Washington like the back of their hand but know little about the country they would lead.

Trump wins climate debate

CNN has a seven-hour town hall Wednesday to focus on climate change.
President Trump used eight tweets to deflate the event.
President Trump is trolling for a media fact-check in order to get his message out beyond Twitter. He does this all the time.
We shall see who, if anyone, bites.
But the president just ended the climate change argument. End of the debate. Time to take action and end all subsidies for alternative energy and go back to burning coal.

If Smitty was impressed

Smitty at The Other McCain tipped his hat to Don Surber.
What did Surber say about the gun control battle?
Don't worry.
He's seen enough of the media in action to know this truth.
I am not saying the media gets everything about Donald Trump wrong. I am just having trouble remembering the last time they got it right.

Trump on a roll

Don Surber enjoys recapping President Trump's accomplishments of last week.
Because he knows what it likely means next year.
But Democrats failed to accept defeat graciously. Now they suffer. They are unlikely to defeat the least popular president in my lifetime because the public views them even more negatively.

Putting old Washington out to pasture

Don Surber takes down Peggy Noonan's take on the Washington scene - the establishment not liking Trump's takeover.
President Donald John Trump does not curry DC's favor. He does not need them. He is a garish playboy billionaire who saved Manhattan only to be resented by Manhattan's elitists who look down on his Outer Borough ways.
He is saving the country and the people who will in the long term benefit most — the elitists — are spitting angry.

Killing the solar sugar daddy

Pacific Gas and Electric faces legal bills for accusations that its power wires sparked California wildfires.
Solar and wind companies hardest hit.
The utility wants to shed $42 billion in contracts with 350 energy suppliers, mostly solar and wind farms. In many cases, the utility is the sole revenue for the company.
Dumping the contracts would be a death knell to the Democrat Party's kooky plan to get energy solely from "renewable" sources in 25 years.
For solar, government giveth and government taketh away.

Here, piggy piggy

Don Surber wonders why people in Washington don't pick up after themselves.
People are still walking by the mall, still drinking latte, and still tossing the containers away. And if the trash bin is full? They throw it on the ground, and just walk away instead of carrying it out.
Littering is a crime in Poca, West Virginia.
Apparently, littering is OK in Washington, DC.

FYI - You're fired

Don Surber tells the sad tale of the Murphy Brown reboot - catch it before it's gone.
CBS discovered that Candace Bergen's weekly half hour of politically charged sarcasm from the 1990s has no place in the 21st century, where snark -- like porn -- inundates the Internet.
Plus with cable Fake News channels galore, who needs 30 minutes a week for an Orange Man Bad fix?

Adulting is hard

Will the White House press corps behave itself under the new rules?
Sarah Sanders today issued rules of conduct for White House reporters. Everyone in the press room should be embarrassed because like kindergartners, they have to be told to share the microphone and take turns asking questions.

Find your wave

Don Surber looks at the potential numbers for Tuesday.
The blue wave is real. Democrats could get 10 million to 20 million more votes in Senate races than Republicans do.
But the red wave also is real. At a minimum, they will increase their Senate majority by one.

Flakier than Flake

Democrats thought they had a chance to take Jeff Flake's senate seat in Arizona.
Then people found what she's said about the state.
Wegmann wrote, "Sinema has also had trouble because of old videotape — from after she was elected to Congress — in which she gave speeches demonstrating contempt for Arizona and its residents. In one video, Sinema warned a group of liberal Texans to 'stop your state from becoming Arizona.' In another, she trashed Arizona as 'the meth lab of democracy' to get some laughs at a NetRoots Nation conference."
That's good reporting.

Show me the money

Don Surber shows how news of tariffs has benefitted the country.
So what has happened since March 1?
 The economy took off.
The economy grew by 4.1% in the second quarter (April, May and June).
Unemployment is at 3.9%.
And the Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 4.7%
 The S and P 500 is up 6.7%.

Trump's 4x4

Don Surber sees the method behind President Trump's trade war.
Most people saw the U.S. trade deficit and assumed we had the poor hand. They assumed we were desperate for a deal.
But President Trump saw the $800 billion-a-year deficit as a bargaining tool, much as he saw his name as a bargaining tool when he went through his first visit to bankruptcy court. World bankers from Frankfurt to Tokyo kept him on because taking his name off his casinos would make them worthless.
So it goes with world trade.

The big win

Don Surber notes the return of 400 Marines from Syria - since their mission has been accomplished.
We supplied the air power and artillery.
The Arabs -- Iraqis, Syrians, and the Gulf Cooperation Council -- provided the foot soldiers.
This was an urban war.
That's how it should be. We may by default be the world's policeman, but it is good to see the neighborhood watch take over.

The losing will continue

Don Surber tries to help the Democratic party.
It's doubtful they will listen.
The Democratic Party will never recover from November until they admit they were wrong, and come up with their own plan on how to make America great again.
In short, Democrats will not win again until they grow up.
There is no entitlement to win. The party that offers the best to the most people wins. So far, all Democrats have to offer is girly melodrama about The Resistance and pink knitted hats given a naughty name.
