I was baffled by George Will's piece about Billy Graham.
Apparently, Graham wasn't hated enough.
Or didn't do enough to get people to hate him.
Jesus said “a prophet hath no honor in his own country.” Prophets take adversarial stances toward their times, as did the 20th century’s two greatest religious leaders, Martin Luther King and Pope John Paul II. Graham did not. Partly for that reason, his country showered him with honors.
Who's taking adversarial stances toward the times in the 21st century?
Donald Trump.
He gets no honor from Will and my others in the country.
How about that?
President and a prophet.
And woe to those who fail to heed Trump's warnings.
