After a shooting, there's talk about having a conversation on guns.
It's been almost two weeks since the Florida shooting.
Like the conversation so far?
The reason we don't talk immediately is - we need facts, not emotion.
We got facts this week - the failure of the onsite officer to engage when shots rang out.
No NRA member told him to do that.
When emotion cools, you're left with logic.
For those who use guns responsibly, having them is safer than more regulation.
For those who shouldn't have guns, the government has tools - they need to be used better.
