Remember the replacement players

When it comes to the NFL and the national anthem, we know one thing - Donald Trump will stand firm.
There will be no apology.
He will look for a deal, and might well remember the NFL action from right after his USFL folded.
You remember the 1987 players strike, and the replacement players?
The NFL players went on strike after the second game.
The owners hired replacement players to continue the schedule after a week-long break.
And some stars broke ranks from the union.
Joe Montana and future Congressman Steve Largent among them.
The players stood together for a few weeks, then the dam broke.
The strike ended and the season resumed.
We'll see how these players stand together, and for how long.
