Mark Steyn, with his knowledge of Canada and Europe, understands why Democrats keep pushing health care reform.
He quotes National Review's Andy McCarthy.
"Health care is a loser for the Left only if the Right has the steel to undo it. The Left is banking on an absence of steel. Why is that a bad bet?"
I'm more optimistic about repeal because of the tea parties. Are they going anywhere? They will be the strength in the steel.
If health care passes and Republicans win in November, they have three months to begin serious repeal. Or else, April 15, 2011 will be a big day of tea parties - reminding Republican who put them there.
