President Obama is scheduled to talk to our school students next Tuesday, when the remainder of public schools open their doors.
Augusta County has been open since Aug. 18, so it's day 15 of 180 for them.
Is it a big deal? Sure, kids may remember one thing to tell their parents. Say, thanks kid, and move on.
My kids have come home talking about spiral light bulbs and other conservation things they've learned. Then they fall asleep with the lights on and TV on.
And take long showers.
And ask to go to Wal-Mart to buy another toy when they have more toys than we know what to do with.
It's more likely President Obama will hit the level of Arthur the Aardvark, just another TV show during the school day. Bet he won't be as cool as Bill Nye the Science Guy.
