Virginia came oh so close to beating Virginia Tech Friday.
The Cavaliers led by seven in the waning minutes.
The Virginia Tech running back fumbled right before the end zone, and a Virginia player was closest to it.
He could have fallen on it.
He could have knocked it out of the end zone for a touchback.
But it bounced away from him, right to several Hokies following the play.
Tie game.
Then in overtime, it was first and 10 at the 14.
A touchdown wins.
A field goal ties.
But a turnover ends the game with a loss.
That's what happens.
When you haven't beaten a team since 2003, those kind of things will happen.
It's wait 'til next year time.
