"Name it and Claim it" Congress

Hearing about the Slaughter Solution, it reminds me of the Prosperity Gospel "Name it and Claim it" preached by some preachers.
Instead of "rights to the blessings of health and wealth," this Congress thinks they have to rights to get their bill passed - no matter what the rules say.
Instead of being a sign of strong belief, this Slaughter Solution is a sign of major weakness. If the health care bill isn't good enough to make it through the centuries-old process, it's not going to last.
If the bill was passed on Christmas Eve, why have we continued to talk about it for the last 10 weeks? Because the House and Senate still disagree.
The shell of the house is built, but the House wants three bedrooms and three baths. The Senate wants one bedroom and a massive dance floor off the main entrance. There is no real agreement.
And you can't just "claim it" now.

Well fortunetly all 41 "reds" in the Senate have agreed to uphold the Byrd Rule to prevent this trickery from going anywhere.
