Labor Day in the coalfields

Green Miles is upset with Verizon for it's part in supporting Monday's Friends of America rally outside of Logan, W.Va.
I mean, organizers are asking the 100,000 people attending to carpool.
There's parking at Gaston Caperton drive, named for a two-term Democratic governor.
And if you have a ticket and live in Virginia, you drive to the rally by taking I-64 west - a road cut through the mountains and valleys to Sen. Robert Byrd's home area. A Democrat, I believe.
Then you take Robert C. Byrd Drive to the Coalfields Expressway, which hopes to link Beckley, W.Va. to Grundy one day. Unfortunately, Byrd will probably need to be in the Senate until he's 190 to get enough funding to bring a four-lane highway through the mountains.
The rally couldn't be held without the support of Democrats.
