'Game over' in the notebook

Tuesday over at ESPN.com, Gregg Easterbrook will post his Tuesday Morning Quarterback column. And note the mark during the Patriots-Ravens game when he wrote "Game over" in his notebook.
It's likely to have been late in the second quarter, when the Patriots were at the Ravens 36 with 2:07 to go. They decided to punt, hoping to pin the Ravens back and get another chance before halftime.
They never got the ball back. The Ravens rushed for a pair of first downs, and the teams started leaving the field with 25 seconds left (the play clock would not expire before halftime). CBS showed a parade of players going to a tunnel or down stairs to their lockerrooms, and Jim Nantz had to stretch and fill airtime until the clock read 00:00.
Maybe the Patriots had a chance if they didn't miss a field goal when they trailed by 19, but basically it was over at halftime.
