Ruling the narrative

Rush Limbaugh loved Donald Trump's Tuesday press conference.

The problem is -- and they don't want to say this, but the problem is -- that Trump, no matter what anybody thinks of him, is interesting.  And Trump, no matter what anybody thinks of him, is funny.  Trump, no matter what anybody thinks of him, is different.  Trump, no matter what anybody thinks of him, is drama.  Trump, no matter what anybody thinks of him, is unpredictable.  All of that means, you can't miss it. 

You can't roll the dice and not cover it, hoping that it isn't anything.  You have to be there, as the media, and you have to hope that he's gonna attack you as the media.  But Hillary, on the other hand? Dull, totally colorless, mistake prone, scandal ridden, because Hillary doesn't have any natural talents. Hillary doesn't have any natural connection to people. Hillary doesn't have any charisma, magnetism. All of that has to be manufactured by the media.

When the Republican selected Cleveland as its convention site, a worry came up.
Would the winter sports season be done in time to prepare the arena?

Hope the planners anticipated this happening.

If she wants privacy

Apparently, Hillary Clinton wanted her own email server to have some privacy.
If she really wants privacy, being a private citizen works better than being president.
I await her departure from public life.

Alive due to the bomb

DaTech Guy's father was a sailor headed to Japan in 1945 when the atomic bomb blasted Hiroshima.
Without the bomb, would he have survived the planned invasion?
If not, there would not be a DaTech Guy - or his siblings, or their children.
Their existence - and millions more like them - are why we dropped that bomb.
And why it was the right thing to do.

NASCAR caps the day with 600 miles from Charlotte - starting at 6 p.m. on Fox. FoxSports1 has the Xfinity race Saturday at 2:30 p.m.
ESPN has Game 6 from the East final between the Cavaliers and Raptors Friday at 8:30 p.m. The NBA Western Conference heads west Saturday at 9 p.m., with Golden State trying to stay alive in Oklahoma City on TNT.
If necessary, Game 7 in the East will be Sunday and Monday in the West.
The Orioles visit Cleveland Friday and Sunday on MASN2 and Saturday at 4 p.m. on MASN. The Nationals host the Cardinals on MASN Friday and Sunday, with Saturday night's contest on Fox.

Or the government official, who prostitutes the public offices she uses, not only for personal gain, but sometimes in ways that work to legitimize human-rights abusers in Africa, or enrich shady Middle Eastern business concerns, or give Russian companies greater access to weapons material? We're going to find out.

Democrats for Trump

The main reason for this lost ground is that an important segment of the Democratic Party – and by this I mean Senator Sanders and many of his followers – has failed to understand which battle it has become time to fight. Ever since the April 25 primaries, when Hillary Clinton swept highly populous states like New York and Pennsylvania, the contest for the nomination has been effectively over. Though not yet “mathematically” eliminated, for the past month Senator Sanders has had no plausible scenario to the nomination.
The trouble for Democrats - Sanders keeps winning and drawing large crowds.
People keep showing up - they haven't given up.
Perhaps Hillary Clinton isn't the answer to how to beat Trump.

The news broke just as the workday ended - Gov. Terry McAuliffe is under FBI investigation.
That brightens my Monday.

Howard Kurtz follows the latest media trend - realizing Donald Trump really does have a chance in November.
Even if the polls are off by a few points, it means that a non-politician, who has been widely derided for being too divisive and inflammatory, is a serious contender against a former first lady, senator and secretary of State.

Hopeful acceptance of Hillary has shifted to amazed disbelief that she can’t put away Bernie. Given dynasty fatigue and Hillary’s age, many Democrats assumed that their front-runner would come out of the gate with a vision for the future that gave her campaign a fresh hue, instead of white papers tinkering around the edges. She should have been far over her husband’s bridge to the 21st century and way down the highway by now.

Among the Native Americans reached over a five-month period ending in April, more than 7 in 10 said they did not feel the word “Redskin” was disrespectful to Indians. An even higher number — 8 in 10 — said they would not be offended if a non-native called them that name.

Bern it down

Another Tuesday of elections, and Bernie Sanders keeps going.
And establishment Democrats don't know how to stop him - because they can't.
While Kentucky isn’t likely to be a swing state in November, problems there for Clinton may foreshadow difficulties in parts of Ohio and Pennsylvania. Any additional wins for Sanders, meanwhile, give him more standing to demand concessions from the party, in order to bring over his supporters even if he cannot secure the nomination. 
“The question now for a few weeks has been what does Sanders really want,” said Jennifer Duffy, an analyst at the nonpartisan Cook Political Report. “While Clinton has pretty handily won this nomination she does need his voters. They’d have to give Sanders something that inspires his supporters for lack of a better word.”
