17 years and still hanging in

When the Jay Jones stuff broke a few weeks ago, I wondered what Bearing Drift had to say. 

And found Bearing Drift's website appears to be gone. 

It was one of the top conservative sites in Virginia when I started this blog in 2008. But my links to them appear lost. Maybe there's a few on the internet wayback machine.

That's a good thing about being a blogspot site. 

I may not post much now, but my thoughts and likes from years past remain easy to find.

Through four weeks, only two teams remain undefeated - the Bills and Eagles.
They are scheduled to meet Dec. 28.
Can both make it to the matchup 15-0?
The 1972 Miami Dolphins are watching.

Through two weeks, 10 NFL teams reached 2-0. 

Three of them in the NFC West. 

Sunday, there's a pair of matchups between undefeated teams. 

The Rams visit the Eagles at 1 p.m. 

The 49ers and Seahawks clash at 4:25 p.m. 

The 1972 Miami Dolphins continue watching.

Nice crowd you got there

Another protest against Trump today, this one at Augusta Health.
The protesters sent a picture to Augusta Free Press for the story.
Only four people in picture. (one behind the sign that's hard to see).
Add the photographer, a former Democratic Congressional candidate, and you still have an extra if you brought them a six-pack of your favorite beverage.
How can I say there were only a handful at this protest?
IF you have more, your contributed photo would show more.
Sure, it's a hot summer morning on the plains of Fishersville.
Maybe the cause isn't that hot.

What if it works

The Big, Beautiful Bill passed without any Democratic support Thursday.
When do Democrats do now?
    1.    Hope the economy tanks like they've said.
    2.   Prepare to say "I told you so" if there's hard times.
    3.    Admit they were wrong when Trump's policies improve the lives of Americans.

Not very appealing options.

Been there, done there

The University of Virginia is looking for a new president after the abrupt resignation of Jim Ryan.
Thirteen years ago, his predecessor resigned under pressure and then kept her job until 2018.
Interesting how life repeats - but looks like this time the ouster will work.

In honor of Dustbury

For many years, I'd read the blogger Dustbury. And sometimes he'd mention me.
He passed away in 2019, but he'd be happy to see the Oklahoma City Thunder as top seed in the NBA Western Conference.
A team to root for.

All Trump is saying, is give peace a chance

Donald Trump wants peace.
An end to the killing.
Does he trust Putin?
Does he trust anybody?
Start at that point while discussing Ukraine.
