Really stuck on Stupak

Will dealing with abortion in the health care reform bill tear the Democratic party apart? One can only hope.
The Stupak amendment in the House's bill has been driving progressives crazy ever since. Blue Virginia links to a meeting of folks hoping to pressure Democrats who voted for Stupak.
We'll be calling likely Democratic voters who are pro-choice. Our goal is to contact these voters to tell them that Stupak goes WAY past the current law, and we'll be asking them to sign their names to a letter to their member of Congress, demanding that they not make Stupak the litmus test for their vote.
The trouble for Democrats - if having Stupak restricts abortion WAY past the current law, then going without it allows abortion WAY past the current law.
Which is why it's important. Which is why it's fun to watch Democrats rip each other apart over it.
