It's all George W. Bush's fault

The fun of the August town hall meetings has been the unhappiness on the left side. Hey, they say, we won and you lost in November. Act like it.
Not so fast my friends. Remember how low George W. Bush's approval ratings were? Ratings of 30 percent meant not only did Democrats dislike him, but about half the Republicans did too. They could easily blame his troubles on not acting like a Republican that they thought he should.
So instead of a vanquished enemy, President Obama faces a significant group of Republicans who feel they've freed themselves from an anchor. We don't feel Bush's failures were failures of our kind of ideas.
Instead of being depressed and looking to work inside the system, it's time to work from the outside. Especially with how things changed in the fall with the economy.
Sorry if this doesn't go according to your plans.
