President Obama's popularity will help Democrats throughout the state in November.
Except Obama's popularity has dimmed thanks to the transition from soaring rhetoric of the campaign to the realities of governing.
And a poll showing Deeds down by eight points to Bob McDonnell is the best polling news three months before the election.
