Did he say they should reverse their position?
No.
He said he'd talk.
He spoke the magic words that liberals think will solve the problem.
Which it won't.
But he's open to the differing viewpoints - unlike President Obama.
Neither Obama nor Clinton could meet with the NRA on this issue.
If you don't trust Trump, it's a bad sign.

If by we you mean yourself and Hillary
John Podhoretz pans the afternoon statement by President Obama.
Here again, and horribly, we have an unmistakable indication that Obama finds it astonishingly easy to divorce himself from a reality he doesn’t like — the reality of the Islamist terror war against the United States and how it is moving to our shores in the form of lone-wolf attacks.
He called it “terror,” which it is. But using the word “terror” without a limiting and defining adjective is like a doctor calling a disease “cancer” without making note of the affected area of the body — because if he doesn’t know where the cancer is and what form it takes, he cannot attack it effectively and seek to extirpate it.

Two robbers in France picked the wrong McDonalds to rob - the one where French Special Forces were eating.
Edwige Roux-Morizot, the local prosecutor, said: “During the hold-up, the gendarmes didn’t do anything. It was out of the question to use their weapons, as this would have created difficulties and could have placed many people’s lives in danger.”
The highly trained and battle-hardened officers were able to pounce on the first of the two robbers when he tripped on his way of the outlet without firing a shot.
However, they were forced to shoot the other in the abdomen when he pointed a gun at them as he sought to make his getaway with the cash, ignoring their orders to drop his weapon.

Sunday's endorsement of Hillary by Adams draws the most ire.
Obviously, this is not a Clinton endorsement. The purpose of this is to try to convince people that Clinton is some kind of dangerous fascist demagogue who will send her brownshirts into the street to force people into compliance with violence. This opinion, of course, has nothing to do with the real life Clinton and everything to do with Adams’s fantasy version of her.

Happier ending
A North Carolina hospice patient invited family, friends and the media along for her final trip to the beach.
"This is just so special," Ellie said as she was escorted from the ambulance to the beach on a special wheelchair designed for the sand. "You get that smell ... If that's the last smell I smell, that's a good smell."

A little help for my friend
At Sunday's Orioles game, the team will be helping the Gorman family raise awareness of Multiple System Atrophy.
The man at the center of the issue helped me greatly as a new college graduate in 1984.
At a church meeting, Jim Gorman said he had a brother at a South Carolina newspaper.
I was looking for that first job out of college.
Six weeks later, I was in South Carolina, starting my sports journalism career.
Jim helped me, and hopefully many will be helping Jim Sunday.

Piece of work
The new jobs report came out today - fewer jobs added than expected and more people out of the workforce.
Jobs increased by only 38,000, about 120,000 below expectations. In addition, the number of jobs created in April and March was also revised downwards by 59,000. As Gordon notes, this means that over the last three months, job creation has averaged about 116,000 jobs per month; a notable slowdown from the 12-month average of 219,000 jobs.
Guess this means more people to give Bernie Sanders money.
